Earnscliffe is a disabled-led consultancy that has been working across many sectors for almost 30 years creating superior access for everyone. We will identify cost-effective, manageable, sustainable and site-specific access solutions to suit your budget and organisation, helping you meet the needs and expectations of your users and staff as well as your duties under the Equality Act. We'll help you make the right choices that won't compromise your heritage, aesthetics or visitor appeal.
We are passionate about our work and fun to work with. One of our projects and winner of the RIBA Stirling Prize 2014, The Everyman Theatre, was commended as having "unparalleled levels of accessibility". We are on the design team of the Grand Egyptian Museum, Cairo that includes presenting the contents of the tomb of Tutankhamun. How's that for Wow! We are also on the project team of The National Paralympic Heritage Trust to help design a permanent heritage centre at Stoke Mandeville and a nationwide series of satellite exhibitions to celebrate the heritage of the British Paralympic Movement that has helped change attitudes to disability. Earnscliffe is currently updating Arts Council England access guidelines and producing a number of best practice case studies to assist and inspire anyone running an arts or heritage venue or project.
